Sam and Sharon Christian
Director/House Parents
As adoptive parents themselves, Sam and Sharon have a deep, personal understanding of the unique challenges that come with navigating the brokenness of early childhood trauma. Sam's journey is rooted in his own experience as an adoptee from a Romanian orphanage, where he and his siblings were adopted into a large family after facing abandonment and early neglect. Having battled Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD) firsthand, Sam understands the internal war of wanting connection but fearing trust. It was through God's grace and persistent love from his family that healing began to take place. Now, Sam and Sharon have dedicated their lives to walking alongside children who carry similar wounds, creating a home where they are not just cared for—but fought for. Their mission at Raising Arrows is simple but profound: to provide a safe, Christ-centered environment where children can heal, be seen, and learn to trust again. Together, Sam and Sharon lead Raising Arrows with a passion for restoring broken hearts and pointing every child to their true identity in Christ.
